The Kansas City Chiefs made two selections in round one of the 2026 NFL Draft. They made a big move to jump up for LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane at No. 6 overall, and then added top defensive lineman Peter Woods at the end of the round. The Chiefs went to bed with two major defensive additions and the knowledge that plenty of good prospects were remaining on the draft board on day two.
The Chiefs traded away their third-round selection (No. 74 overall) in their deal to move up for Delane, and now the only pick they hold on the second day of the draft is No. 40 in the second round.
There are plenty of talented players still on the board, and the Chiefs will have the ability to add another impact player early on Friday night. Assuming the Chiefs do not double down at corner or DT, these are the top available players on my board for the Chiefs heading into the second day of the draft.

The Chiefs have made two picks on the defensive side of the ball, making it likely they will spend a day-two selection on the offensive side. Top wide receivers like Chris Bell, Germie Bernard, or Denzel Boston stand out to me as top options for a team that is starved for playmakers on the outside.
Regardless of how the Chiefs decide to attack the second day of the draft, there is plenty of talent still on the board for them to add a high-impact player. With five picks remaining, it will be fun to see where Brett Veach lands on day two.
